While I was surfing TrafficSwarm the other day, somehow this clean and neat website about a free web hosting service caught my eye. I have heard of the perils of getting a free web hosting service, like websites being inundated with ads, malware and pop ups/pop-unders. This one seems okay.
On closer examination, this free web hosting has this wonderful feature “Fantastico” which is only found in paid hosting, and also a huge collection of well designed website templates. Moreover, I stand to earn $5 per referral payable to my Paypal when $100 at least is accumulated. It is simple to achieve that, i thought.
Immediately, I decided to refer this free web hosting service. Tweaked this blog’s CSS on the spot to accommodate its 160 x 600 side banner. All was set. I even told my friends excitedly that I can provide them free web hosting if they want that allows them to install wordpress blogs easily.
On the same night, I reached home and did a search for “000webhosting review”, and immediately, my mood was dampened. There was this account of the website connection being extremely slow and with timeout connection. Another guy was complaining at digitalpoint forums that he wasn’t paid even though he had accumulated $300 commissions. Another one complained about the atrocious customer service standard. Generally the review was mixed. One can certainly try out this free web hosting to see if these accounts are true. But for me, I am a person who believes in what Google churns out.
Immediately, I removed the web hosting banner and replaced it with Ixwebhosting’s new banner.
