Online storage account
Today I’d like to introduce a great web storage service which I use regularly to do short term backups. Nowadays there are really some good such web storage sites around and most of them are excellent. However, I’ll prefer Box.net as I like it’s user interface and simple accessibility. It’s like using an online email account. Important files I saved on the run are uploaded to Box.net and when I reach home, I’ll download them to my computer.Yes I can use a thumbdrive for that but I have a big dislike to carry so many things around with me when I’m going out and due to the fact that I really have high tendency to misplace stuff.
To use Box.net, simple go to the site to create a free account which allows you to store up to 1GB. If you need more flexibility and higher storage you can opt for their paid plans. The good thing is you do not have to install any software or menu bar to use Box.net.
Another great feature is the “Shared” function which allows users to create a “shared” link to their websites or blogs. This allows anyone to publish their contents through “tagging” which is like keyword-labeled your files for easier search.
By the way, this is just my personal recommendation and not a sponsored post.
