The most essential function of search engine marketing is to attract targeted visitors to your product and service, and generate sales or lead from there. The most effective way of attracting targeted audience is by pulling traffic from the search engines where the website is being marketed. Once the traffic is roped in, it is time then to present your website in such a manner that they convert from visitors to lead.
In order to make the visitors buy something from the services and products that you put on display, make your landing pages attractive. Landing pages, are the first page the visitor enters in your website once s/he has clicked on your search engine ad. This applies to those websites too, who do not sell tangible products through their search engine marketing tricks. Even if you wish your visitors to come and sign in to your website, the landing page should be able to give the message across to them.
Many website owners do not realize the potential of a good landing page in search engine marketing and land up losing great percentage of their visitor sales. The simple way of increasing ROI from your search engine marketing campaign is to persuade your visitor to generate a lead through an attractive and smart landing page.

So “blogging” is now a word that is as familiar to many as “internet”. This means blogging is also constantly evolving in its form and naturally, a new form of communication medium that is a spin off from blogging will come. This new form of blogging is called “microblogging“. As the name implies, it is a kind of easy blogging that is expressed in short excerpts, simple passages or fast inputs. So microblogging is catered for people who are trying to publish what they have in mind or what they are seeing just “in that instant” of time. Minus the complexity and cumbersome full length texts. Microblogging, from what I read, started only less than 2 years ago.
The emergence of microblogging also coincides with the immense popularity of social networking and microblogging is all about networking and expanding your cyber network. The new medium also takes into account the convergence of mobile network and hence microblogger may also use MMS/SMS to update, exactly what microblog is all about. Imagine, you are travelling and suddenly you see that escaped terrorist Mat Salemat dashing across the road right in front of you and scurry into the dense forest….perfect story and topic to beef up your microblog and its hungry subscribers looking to feed on new information!
If you are comfortable sending text messages from your cell phone, you are ready for microblogging. However, instead of sending text message to one person, you use microblogging to broadcast to your social network.
Maybe you have heard of “Twitter” recently. I certainly just heard of it about one month ago and saw that little birdie for the first time. Twitter, (get this word into your mind, for its going to represent something new in this new information age) is the most famous of all the microblogging platform. Simply go to http://www.twitter.com to create a free account, you can microblog what’s happening around your life in minutes! Constantly on the run? Not an issue, you can even use your cellphone to “twitter”!

I’m actually rather happy with this modest little blog of mine. Why? Because I manage to get ranked on page 1 (some at number 1 spot) of Google search engine for several unique niches and keywords. It is surprising to know the kind of things people are searching for. That’s why I’m striving to do my best to cover such alternative niches.
One of the best tips I can give you for how I manage to achieve this feat is this excellent Firefox plugin called “All in One SEO Pack“. I would advise ALL wordpress bloggers on self hosted domain to get this addon immediately and start optimizing for each blog post you just completed. It will magically help you to rank very well for your post because it actually inserts your keywords, description and post title for you to the meta tags section automatically.
Another tip to give you is to go to “Options” –>”Permalinks” and under “Common options”, selection “Custom”, and set it to “/%postname%/”, as is shown in the screen shot below:

I really like Firefox’s flexibility to re-configure itself with new plugins and addons. One of the best addons I have and like is this one called “Abduction“. Well, there is nothing about alien abduction here. It is simply a great screen capture utility for any firefox users to screen capture any section of the browser windows, and all the way up to a full website capture. Firefox Abduction was previously called as “Save Page As Image” plugin, and I think the new name is way much better than the previous name.
If you are interested to take a full height and width picture of your favorite website, you have to install Abduction now.
Simply right click anywhere on the website you wish to capture, and select “Save page as image“, a new window will show up. Next, you just drag which part of the website you wish to capture and then click on the “Save” button, and this allows you to save your website image in either high quality PNG file or low quality, medium quality or high quality JPEG format.

Liberty Reserve is way too safe and secure! Why do I say that? You know, when there is too many layers of security, it creates more inconvenience as a result. It is exactly the case with my experience with Liberty Reserve.
As I was lazy to plug in my old notebook harddisk which contained my old Liberty Reserve password (I just changed to a new harddisk), I erroneously entered my password hence I did an online password change after passing 4 security questions. A new random password was generated using Roboform. So I returned to the login page, but to my horror I discovered that “my account was blocked“! WTF?! What did I do wrong this time?
Checking through Liberty Reserve’s FAQ reveals nothing about the account block issue and I thought sending them an email would be too troublesome as I did not have good impression of any online email support, anywhere.

PayPerPost disappoints me lately! As the top paid blogging company, I find that PPP has really run out of “opportunities” for its huge number of bloggers to feed on. Too many times, that single opportunity shows up much to my delight. However, after I click on the link and wait for its crawling server to respond and enter that bloody recaptcha text and wait for the crawling server to respond again, there comes this message to say that this opportunity has been taken! That is why after I earn around $500 from PPP in about 8 months *I know it’s pretty poor return*, I decide that PPP is no longer worth its time and I’m not going to retract this statement until I see some improvements in the number of opportunities available.
I remember sometime in Aug/Sep 2007, PPP was really giving us many stuff to write about and I average one post a day for that time, but for some unknown reasons, maybe due to its huge stable of bloggers, too little advertizers or simply affected by that dreaded Google slap which reduced many blogs registered with PPP to suffer pagerank demotion *this blog is downgraded too*, PPP is just no longer a viable earning opportunities for small bloggers like me anymore.

People these days are well aware of something important they must carefully protect: their identity. There was a time when it was fun to spread your identity across the web-registering your high school information, showing off your latest vacation photos on your personal web site, or posting your resume for others to see-but things are rapidly changing. Many people are finding their lives completely ruined by identity theft and paying a high price for their carelessness. It just makes you want to be anonymous.
Often people look at you with suspicion when you want to remain anonymous. Being anonymous usually means there is something you want to hide. We are all too aware of the abuses of internet anonynimity by spammers, spyware programs, and other illegal activities. But there are many legitimate reasons for the average person to want to protect his or identity.
Identity theft isn’t the only reason to protect your identity online. Here are some other top reasons to protect your identity:

You can make lots of money monetizing your blog with AdSense if you have quality content, the right keywords, and the right AdSense ad layout. Many people complain they can’t make money with AdSense or that it cheapens their site. I will show it how it will not only increase the value of your site, but how it will start building you monthly income!
I monetize my web sites and blogs in many different ways. I see many web sites missing out when it comes to non-invasive ways to monetize your web site or blog, and they don’t have to be ways in which you anger your visitors. In fact - good monetization will always compliment your web site, not “cheapen” it. I have also read many articles that debate when to monetize, and there are still some hold-outs that say build up traffic on a site first and then monetize once it gets to a certain level. I’m sorry - that’s just BS in my book, and I have the experience to back it up. Monetize your web site from day 1 - PERIOD!
Why? Every post and page is an opportunity to make money. Making money with a web site is like planting a garden. Why would you want to keep plowing the field for 6 months and and keep waiting to plant the seeds? Also monetization is marketing, and marketing takes time and skill. Yes - skill. The more you do it the better you become, so do it from day #1.

One of the most useful online services for Internet entrepreneurs has to be Google AdWords. This service allows webmasters to boost their site’s relevancy with Google, as well as let them set up easy to load ads with the relevant information for your site. These advertisements can then be read by people looking for any information on Google that’s related to what your own services or products are. Considering that Google is the most widely-used search engine today, this is indeed an excellent option for promoting your online business.
If you want to increase exposure for your online business, you cannot go wrong with Google AdWords. Your site will enjoy more targeted traffic, which means that your prospects of making a sale will greatly improve as compared to what your chances would be without targeted traffic. This makes Google AdWords all the more valuable. If your business needs to target a particular group of Internet users that search for specific keywords, Google AdWords will help you to make full use of the keywords that best fit your website to pull in that traffic.
It’s quite easy to use Google AdWords. Depending on how many keywords you’re planning to use for your advertising, you’ll pay Google a corresponding amount. Now, these keywords will generate advertisements for your site on the search results pages themselves, every time a user searches for those keywords you paid for. Imagine the exposure that your website will get, when the relevant keywords are typed in and the ads for your online business appear.
