Why Twitter is useful for online marketing

twitterThe potential of using Twitter for online marketing is just immense! For the record, I just get to know twitter about one month ago and I just start to use it today and is not an early twitting “bird”. My verdict is, twitter is going to take up a lot of my online time from now on. It is certainly addictive as it is just like online message to yourself on a website, telling people about what you feel and what you wish to let others know about you, AT THAT TIME!

How I got to know about Twitter is because I have seen this word being mentioned over and over again at some internet marketing forums and article sites. Already some big global companies like CNN, Amazon, Dell and ESPN are utilising Twitter to do part of their online marketing.

So the point here is to invite and find as many followers to your twits as possible. It is sort of like building a list of names. So just update your latest online promotions via twitter and people will be compelled with the urgency to check it out.

In certain sense, transparency and the genuineness make Twitter popular as people nowadays are lack of patiences and they want to know on first hand what is going now. Hence services like sports scores and news are perfectly suited for Twitter too.

If Twitter marketing is done well, gradually the company’s brand can be built up too. Another reason why a small upcoming company should use Twitter to promote their businesses as it can help to build up trust and bond with the customers. Once the trust is secure, the company has generally gained their faith for years to come.
